  3. Would F2A category retrogress in October visa bulletin?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Since USCIS have received sufficient demand, F2A category is likely to retrogress.

  4. 2-3 weeks of approval is just soo unfair!

    1. Agree with U, but although they get to finish their case at NVC now they will depend on the Visa Bulletin so they are most likely to continue waiting.

  5. Hi Amazon,
My EB3 ROW is current in September. My wife had applied I485 and I140 concurrently under EB2ROW. However, her I140 has not been approved yet. Thus, we sent an email to USCIS to adjudicate pending 485 on the basis of my approved I140. However, we still have not heard anything from USCIS. I am wondering how long it is going to take USCIS to transfer the case.

  6. I have a pending I-485 in EB-2 India category PD Oct. 2007. I-485 filed on March 2012. USCIS recd my response to RFE on July 5, 2013. but I haven't received any decision yet. Any idea what's the average or max time USCIS taking to process I-485 after receiving response to RFE? Thanks for your feedback!

    1. Actually they first upload the file (bulletin_6062.html) on the server and then add a link to this file from the homepage.

The Find Hidden VB tool directly found this newly uploaded file.

    2. Amazon, yes. But this time, the time between finding hidden link and actual posting in their site was very minimal. I was monitoring constantly and within the 15 minutes window, it was public as well.

    3. Think of it this way. Once they upload the file, there are three ways you can find the link:

      1. Manually change URL on their website (6050, 6051, 6052, etc)
      2. Wait for them to link to that file from visa bulletin page
      3. Use Find Hidden VB Link tool.

For # 2 above, you will have to depend on them to add the link from main page.

If they upload it a day or two earlier (before releasing it officially), you may not know about it. This tool makes it super easy to find this link.

  10. What does the following information mean for someone from India? If I have already applied for I-130 and having got the priority date for Aug-26-2013, does this apply longer waits at all?

NOTE: For October, F2A numbers EXEMPT from per-country limit are available to applicants from all countries with priority dates earlier than 01SEP13. F2A numbers SUBJECT to per-country limit are available to applicants chargeable to all countries EXCEPT MEXICO with priority dates beginning 01SEP13 and earlier than 08SEP13. (All F2A numbers provided for MEXICO are exempt from the per-country limit; there are no F2A numbers for MEXICO subject to per-country limit.)

  11. Hi My priority date is June-12-2013 for my spouse under f2a category in VSC. I have bnot recived NOA2 yet. so what next MR. amazon. I will really appreciate if you can help me out.

  12. Thanks for the info.
Is there any reason for which they don't want to release the October demand data ? . I will not resist another 3 year retrogression on EB3 (like happened some years ago)....

    1. Some are suggesting that they might stop pushing out monthly demand data for EB category.

We will have to wait and see if they decide to publish November demand data next month.

      Delete
  13. Why did they not retrogress the F2A category as they had predicted they would? Or is this just the calm before the storm, and next month it might be even more retrogressed?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. F2A category retrogressed to Sept 8, 2013 (and Sept 1 for Mexico). October visa bulletin is valid from October 1.

Hence from October 1 they will only process applicants (I-485 or consular processing) whose PD is current (before Sept 1 or Sept 8).

  21. Hi Amazon
I am using F1 visa to study in the USA. I filed I-130 and I-485 concurrently in August because F2A category was current. Today I receive my EAD card. Does it mean that I don't have to maintain my I-20 and F1 status since I already got my EAD?
