If you have not done it, remember to add your case to the GC tracker: http://www.mygcvisa.com/ tracker/

It would be very useful to understand how USCIS is currently processing cases. It would also help in estimating date movements in future VB.

We will update this table as we get more data. If you are interested, the dates above are based on following data:
  • Latest I-130/I-140/I-485 Processing Statistics (see link on right side) -->

Similar to EB3 category movement, we have added a blog post for EB2 category forward movement between August and  December 2013. Please click here for FB category.

Next Steps: If priority date is current and

1. If applicant is inside US, they will have to file I-485: http://blog.mygcvisa.com/2013/04/how-to-file-i-485-application.html

2. If applicant is outside US, it will be sent to NVC: http://blog.mygcvisa.com/2013/09/nvc-consular-processing-steps.html

    1. Hi Amazon, when do you think eb3row will reach 13pd? thx

    2. EB3 Philippines movement does not depend on EB3 ROW movement. It depends on demand in each category.

  2. Amazon, is there any chance that my priority date of 05/30/2012 EB3ROW will become current up to bulletin April/2014? My wife's OPT is good till June/2014, and we're hoping not to have to ask the employer to apply for her H1B in April. Thank you.

    1. I think by April/2014 your pd will be current. But still it's not guaranteed so your wife better prepare to file H1B next year.

    2. There is a good probability based on current data that dates could move that far. It depends on demand received in the next few months.

Also fees for H1 has to be paid by employer. You should not have to pay it.

  3. Amazon - Based on data/recent commentary from Charles O, is there any chance of F2A (India) category being retrogressed? I understand that date is not going to move any fwd for quite few months, but am more worried abt retrogression, so would be great if you could provide your thoughts.

    2. It is not clear yet. We will have to wait for data from USCIS to find out the demand in this category.

  4. Hi Amazon & team, how confident are you in reaching 01FEB12 for EB3ROW for Jan14 VB? My PD is 26-JAN-12 so that'd be a fantastic news...

  5. Hi Amazon, do you think my PD (JULY 2007) will be current within 2014? Im under EB3- Philippines.. THank you :)

    1. If you try to look at the EB3-Phillipines pending inventory, there are about 600+ applications for July 2007 as compared to the months between Dec. 2006 - June 2007, where they average around 200+, so it would be difficult to guess how far the movement goes once those applications have been processed. Maybe that's the reason why the 3-to-6-week movement for EB3-Phil is predicted to last until February, 2014 only, if you go by the information contained in the official visa bulletin.

    2. To hayabusa, correct me if im wrong but i understand that each country is given 2800 visas(233 each month) and if u compare the demand data for eb3 phils w/c is around 2200, if u do the math, eb3phils has a pretty good chance ti advance this fy 2014.

    3. For everybody's sake, I sure hope it advances that far. But for some reason, the entire batch of 2008 applications haven't even been accounted for as of the moment (most likely stemming from the visa bulletin incident of 2007), so we will have to wait until the middle of next year in order to gauge the real amount of demand data involved. Case in point: I know a few friends of mine with priority dates between Oct. 2007 to Jan. 2008, but if you look at the latest pending inventory dated Oct. 1, 2013, none of those applications have been accounted for as of yet.

      Delete
    4. In addition, the I-485 pending inventory only includes people who have filed I-485 application It does not include people with approved I-140 application (but did not file I-485) or those filing I-140/I-485 concurrently.

  6. And how many demands are there for aug and sept 2007 for philippines eb3?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The data is still incomplete on that, if you check the PDF file of the latest pending inventory. They haven't even accounted for applications beyond September, 2007.

      Delete
    2. Demand for phils accdg to uscis as of jan 2013 is 2675. Pls see oct demand data.

      Delete
    3. Also I-485 inventory does not have complete data for all applicants till August 2007. It could be much higher (married, children, not filed I-485 application, etc).

    6. For EB2 India, there are to many unknowns to accurately estimate the dates.

In the GC calculator page, check out the FAQ section. It would explain why dates cannot be (accurately) estimated.

    1. There is a possibility. We will have to wait for some more data from USCIS. Since dates moved by a year, the demand could be very high.

  15. Hi, Amazon, really appreciated your valuable information here.
I have some questions regarding the possibility of EB2C downgrade to Eb3C since recently EB3C cutoff day move dramatically faster and far ahead of Eb2C. I am Eb2C with I140 approved and my priority date is 6/29/2012. Now the Jan EB3C cutoff date is 4/1/2012, which is close to my EB2 PD date. So I am wandering if I can downgrade to EB3 so that I can submit my 2nd I-140(EB3based ) and I-485 together if Feb EB3C cut off date make my PD current. Also Can I submit EAD/AP application for my spouse? Thanks a lot in advance.
