  1. A question to anyone that may know. Once an RFE is responded how long would it take for USCIS to review and finalize a case?
    Thanks.

    1. What was your RFE about?

    2. Missing some documents. Any idea about timing after response is sent?

      Delete
    3. Once they get the documents, should take ~ 4 weeks.

Good thing is that they are working on your case so that is great news!

    3. hi amazon, for EB3 Philippines moved forward by 4.5 months, is this due to the 10,000 spillover?

    4. The big movement in EB3 Philippines was expected. Please see the blog post below:

    5. hi amazon, can you pls update the GC calculator please based on May 2014 VB. thank you so much.

    6. Hi amazon;) is this jump will still be going until july VB?thanx and more power!

    7. GC calculator has been updated with new data. EB3 Philippines should continue to move forward in the next visa bulletin.

  3. Approval timeframe of 60-70 days for EB3 should not be taken as the norm. There are still many cases waiting for approvals. 4+ months seem to be the estimation.

    1. Correct. Depends on Service Center too. Texas seems to be moving slower than the other. Texes is averaging 80 days or so. Yet, you are correct some cases are over 100 days. Mine was about 85 days. Trackitt is a good site that helps gauge the wait.

      Delete
    2. most cases from my friends were about 2 months process time for eb3. of course, in some cases, 6 months+ is possible.

seems like TSC is either really slow or really fast, while NSC is just slow.

    3. My EB-3 ROW I-485 adjustment of status application and my wife's and daughter's derivative I-485 adjustment of status applications filed at the TSC took 4 months almost to the day for processing and approval (with no RFEs or other issues), which was exactly in line with the reported and published processing time.

      Delete
    4. How do we calculate this 60 days? From the 485 receipt date? Or fingerprint date?

      Delete
    5. It is from the I-485 application receipt date.

  11. Amazon,

Since EB-3 ROW may be approaching the 40,000 number if we take into account that demand data is old, we may only see it move a month or two in the next two VB. However, I'm really interested to see what kind of spillover EB-3 ROW would get at the end of the FY.

If you had to guess based on the data currently available, where do you think EB-ROW is going to end up by end of the FY?

    2. Hi Amazon, your predictions seem to be very accurate. What are your thoughts on June - September 2014 for EB3 ROW? My priority date is June 2013 and I was wondering it it's going to be current in the next 2-3 months. Thanks,

      Delete
    3. Based on current data, it could either stay at this date or it could retrogress slightly. Latest data from USCIS would be helpful to more accurately estimate movement.

My problem is we will be going on a out of the country vacation in end of May to June 22. is there enough time to file? should we file within that month the PD is current? would there be a problem if we are out of the country? pls help need ur advice.

    1. You can file I-485 application anytime as long as PD is current.

This means when you return back, you can file I-485 if the PD is still current.

  21. Hi Amazon. Your predictions always interest me. They always seem to be close, if not spot on. I'm an f2b phil (oct2003). Movement in this category seem to be going at a snail's pace while movement for f2b row leapt by 4 month. Is the movement for f2b phil. Expected to push trough at the same pace for the rest of the fiscal year? Appreciate your help.
