Deleteyou don't get a confirmation email for DS260 unless you click on it and click receipt and request a confirmation email. And yes, you will get a case complete email when they are done reviewing everything.

ReplyDeleteMy priority date became current on June 1st. I've done F2A interview in 2014 but because of retrogression they told me to wait for that date to become current again and I should receive a card in mail. Now it's current again so I am wondering when I can expect GC.

DeleteYou will get a letter in the mail i-797 notice of receipt. That will tell you when your priority date is. Approval time varies in all the USCIS offices. Personally, mine took 2-3 months to get approved in the California Service Center.You will know when your i-130 is approved because they will also send you a letter in the mail telling you so.

I don't think the petitioner necessarily needs to live in the US as long as you have a joint sponsor that does live here.

If case completed, how long it takes to get email of case complete from NVC

ReplyDeleteMy PD is 10JAN 2014 too. I called NVC yesterday. First of all, good news is that Lady at NVC confirm that issues with the DOS system is not going to affect interview schedule date. Another thing, they schedule the interview date based on case completion date. Case completion date is when you received the latter from NVC after they verify all your submitted documents. Last, Lady ask me to call next week to know if they have schedule one for me or not. They have not start scheduling interview dates yet, but pretty soon, they will start.

DeleteYou must have got a pdf file attached to the email. Make sure to follow the instruction in that and Take a print of that pdf.. You need to send filled form (in which you have made a mistake), the copy of letter (the PDF file) and the coversheet [ They would have mentioned that in first page of the letter, please check that] . I did the same because of minor mistake in 864.
