EB India and EB China together consumed around 34% of total EB visas allotted. This matches with population count (around 30% of world population reside in India and China)

  3. Category Quota Actual Allocation

this seems to be good, right? The quota is bigger than the demand, meaning that F2A should move forward based on the given data. right?

    1. No, it is the opposite. The demand is much higher, but they were not able to allot these visas. Hence around 10,000 visas were "wasted" in FB category (and assigned to EB category in next fiscal year).

  4. Amazon, where can we read about the amount of time one has to wait to be eligible for US citizenship? How long for EB?

    1. GC holder can typically apply for citizenship after around 5 years. If GC holder is married to US Citizen, the number is reduced to 3 years,

  6. Wow. People seem to be somewhat confused with these tables. These are NOT DEMAND data. These tables show how many visas were available (quota) for each category and how many were given out (actual allocation) in Fiscal Year 2013 which ended in Sept 2013. No prediction can be made based on the information on the tables.

I'm unsure if Amazon speaks spanish.

Para quien pregunto en espanol: Supongo esta preguntando con respecto a la categoria F2A. La informacion en este post no ayuda a descifrar cuando avance la fecha para que le toque su turno. Intento usar la calculadora de este website? Suerte.

    1. Thanks anonymous. I could use the Google translate app to translate it to English.

According to latest news from USCIS/DOS, F2A category is not expected to retrogress in the next few months,
