        I got an email from NVC yesterday which was welcoming letter to start processing my application. they said I need to fill out the applications and pay the fees to get the interview

        it'a 10:32 PM in east coast and my case just approved :) I got noticed by SMS. My case was transferred from Vermonter to California 3 weeks ago. My PD is March 10, 2014.

          I'm guessing he meant to check if the NVC received your case from USCIS and to provide them with your email so they can send you your case number and invoice number.

          It takes for the NVC 30-60 days after the scan date to give you a case complete if everything is in order and you don't get any checklists. After that, if your pd is current then about a month after the case complete, really depends on the embassy or consulate you will do the process through.

          NVC had sent me on March 19,2015 that they had received all necessary documents to complete my case and as soon as a visa date is available they will inform me and then on March 27, 2015 they had sent me a checklist with instruction that my AOS doesn't meet minimum poverty level , however a Consular Officer will make a decision on the date of the interview and I may wish to submit an addition AOS. My PD is April 2008 F2B other chargeable areas. My question will NVC still send me my interview date without I submit the addition AOS.

          I wouldn't really know, but what I gathered from what you wrote is that they will schedule an interview anyways, but you run the risk of the consular officer denying you the visa because your sponsor does not meet the minimum poverty level.
          My recommendation to you is to find another sponsor to complement the difference between the other sponsor's income and the poverty level. You got nothing to lose by sending another i-864.

          That was what I was thinking that they were going to send my date anyways but yes I have gotten another sponsor, but my concern is that I would have to wait another 60 working days to allow for processing my PD is April 2008 which was current since January 2015. So I was thinking that maybe I could take it to my local embassy on the day of my interview.

        Today my wife called to NVC and they told her that we have not completed DS261, but I got a confirmation page from las feb 25, and every time that I sign in page Said "completed" now an agent representative told us that we have not completed the form.

        I don´t know what happened with this people.

        I did not get an email from the NVC but I was able to access the Consular Electronic Application Center and was able to fill out DS-261. Have not been invoiced and cannot pay any fees yet. PD March 17, 2014.

        A few minutes after I submitted DS-261, I got welcome letter. I have a question though, in the welcome letter, it gives me the list of documents that I have to submit, but it says to submit them in order and I know that people send them in different envelopes labeled as IV and AOS respectively. Do I submit them like that or in just one package like the email says?

          No need to place your documents in different envelopes. I sent mine in one envelope with this cover sheet on top. And I'm fine, case complete already. Don't waste envelopes and paper printing out cover sheets that've become obsolete )))

          Do we need to send photocopies of the whole package too? I mean after preparing the package ready to mail then duplicating it and sending 2 packages?

          Why would you mail photocopied photocopies? Sounds like some sort of voodoo magic. The instructions are really straightforward. You mail in AOS (with an original signature), tax transcripts, etc, and photocopies of supporting documents that are required for your case. You'll have to bring the original documents to your interview.

        I would like to share this bad experience with everybody. I got married to my husband last march in, but got my passport renewed the year before (2013). my husband is my petitioner we have paid aos n iv fees and have prepared all the documents, the only thing pending was the PCC which i have to get from the passport office, which gave me my present passport. When i went there i was horrified when that lady told me that she will mention my status as single, since it was so on my passport. i was almost in tears i told her i have been waiting for this visa for 1 n half years n if u give my status as single i'll not get my visa approved. i told her that as i renewed my passport before my marriage i did not add my spouse name in it. she sent me to the B counter, then i was sent to the C counter. i felt helpless n i explained my situation to the person at C counter he also told me the same thing. He was a nice old gentleman who told me not to get worried n told me to leave now n get all the original documents supporting our marriage within 3 days. thankfully i got it done by his help. So please add ur spouse name in ur passport as soon as u get married, if that is not possible take all the documents supporting ur marriage. good luck!

        Oh my! old applicants for EB3Philippines resurfaced and priority dates got back as far as Jul 01, 2007, just in time for us, pd jul 11, 2008 and just received our green cards last month, I thank the Lord for that, I am just sad for those who are caught by this retrogression again.

          We filed AOS last July 2014 when our pd became current on that month, we received our EADs/APs less than 3 mos. after, then our GCs after 8 mos., just slipped past this huge retrogression.

          Hi Jeff! There's still hope. I'm under EB3 Phils too. I filed my AOS last November 2014. I got approved just last week. 5 months after I submitted my application. This will take effect in May. There's still time. Hang in there! Keep praying!

        Hello My PD is 28th july 2014 F2A , my I-130 was approved on december 2014 i received a message from the NVC, its "NVC inquiry". Im the petionner for my daughter, the letter is saying that the NVC has process my case and they case me a case number but we have to wait until a visa has become available. I want to know if this letter is the welcome Letter, if not what can i do now.

          This is not the welcome letter. For now, all you can do is wait. The welcome letter will come in 2-3 months and will actually say welcome letter and will tell you to pay fees and submit documents.

        F2A just one month movement, very sad, expecting some thing good...... F2A reached till 08 Sep 2013 in October 2013 visa bulletin then after it had reached to the same date after 1 year 7 Months, unbelievable.........

        Hi! Amazon I been noticed that the PD Ab3 philippines backward to july/1/2007 can I ask my PD is nov/2007 but I have already schedule for interview on 24/April 2015 which is nexweek I am still affected I been also done my medical.thanks

          Do you have an interview schedule already? If yes and if it will be on or before April 30 I think you will be good. But if your schedule is later than this, you will have a case pending and wait until your pd becomes current again, anyway, what's your pd?, if it's earlier than july 01, 2007, you're still good.

        My f2a pd 12 nov2013.I paid aos fees and submitted all civil documents march 12. Nvc also received it. They have taken 45 days for processing but I couldn't pay visa fee.

        I just received an email from NVC stating that they received all necessary documents to process the case and as soon as an interview date is scheduled petitioner, or applicant will be notified.does this mean case is completed? Are we only waiting for interview letter? Does any one know? Did any one received this letter? F2a PD Jan 28

          Congratulation friend this means your case is complete. Now you just wait for your priority date to become current and you will get a interview letter

        I have also received the same letter on March 19,2015 and received another letter on March 27,2015 to say that the AOS doesn't mean the current poverty level however the Consular Officer will make a decision on the day on interview my PD is April 2008 F2B still haven't received an interview date as yet.

        Your PD was announced in VB in jan .How come you got welcome letter 2 months after that ! Mostly people get it before PD will be current !!

        I'm a bit confused with filling the I-864 AOS form.
        I don't meet the minimum income requirements to sponsor my spouse even though I am petitioner. So I decided to look for a joint sponsor to help meet the income requirements.

        Now my question is.. do I also need to fill the I-864 form?

          You as a petitioner need to fill out a I-864, yes. The joint sponsor needs to fill one out aswell.
