    2. You might be wrong. Demand or inventory for visa issuance for EB3 Philippines last March 2014 is in its lowest level. It will continue to fast track as predicted by Amazon in its previous postings. Check the numbers.

    3. I know, it was just kinda sort of evading some "jinx" for being too excited :), retrogression to nov 2005 is really next to impossible, anyway, 2 months movement is still good though i was wishing for a big jump.

    2. This is the result of many eb2 china who downgraded to eb3 category, now they are severely backlogged again, are they going back to upgrade to eb2 again?

      Delete
    3. Not that many eb2c downgrade to eb3c. The spillover will only be used to help the great eb2i and eb3i. Thats why u r seeing the difference in vb movement between eb3row, eb3c and eb3i.

      Delete
    4. As per my understanding, people who downgraded from EB2C to EB3C do not need to upgrade again. Just like EB3 upgrades are counted in both categories, downgrades should also be counted in both. Amazon, can you please confirm.

My interview is already completed in local USCIS office beginning of this month. My green card was not approved on the spot and Officer requested few more documents from me that I already submitted within few days. My dates are current only this month - July 2012 and from next month they will become unavailable. Does this mean , my case will be completed this month and a possible chance that green card will be approved or do you think I may have to wait in case officer cannot complete my green card process. Should I try and schedule an infopass and explain my situation to IO officer?

  12. F2a retrogress about 17 months on june vb. But according to gc tracker there is a case whose pd 9th sep 2013 and the completed at nvc on april 2014. According to c oppenhem nvc start to process case according to their predicted qualifying date about 8-12 months beforehand though the case is not current hoping that this case will be current on april 2015. So on the basis of this calculation hope that pd on april 2015 vb will be 15th sep 2013. Now assume when ur case is going to be current. I also checked from 2002 all the vb f2a pd progress which is not less than 4 weeks on successive vb most of the time but occassional midway retrogression follwed by big jump. Hope u can near predict now. However im waiting to hear from amazon about f2a and to update gc calculator. My pd is 30th sep 2013.

    1. Hi Anonymous,

I like your analysis.I want to understand how retrogression occurs.I am waiting for F2A visa dates too like you.

According to my understanding dates are retrogressed when there is demand in visa category.By the word "demand" I assume demand of applicants with earlier PD.So my question here is does new applicant with recent PD alters visa availibility of older applicant by making date to retrogress?

If thats the case I assume there is serious flaw in calculation. If thats not the case then how does demand of applicants with earlier PDs increase?

      Delete
  13. how wil eb3-c moving for next month?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. EB3C will start moving again in the new fiscal year or after october 2014, to maybe somewhere around end of 2011 or begining of 2012. then go from there. the inventory data shows the main reason for the retrogress in EB3C is caused by the downgrading by EB2C. However, the global retrogress has something to do with EB3I and EB2I if you look closely.

      Delete
    2. Also EB3 China only has a annual quota of about 2,802 visas + any spillovers. Hence demand from EB3 China + downgrades from EB2 China is much higher than this quota, resulting in heavy retrogression.

There are few blog posts on right side which will provide more details.

      Delete
  14. Amazon can you help us understand the pending inventory numbers for EB3ROW? The numbers in eb2row and eb3row look similar to me, so why the retrogression for eb3row? Just because there were 1000 applicants for September??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. So that all the left over visa #'s will be benefiting EBIndia applicants in the remaining of 2014FY.

      Delete
    2. The pending inventory, as the name suggests only shows inventory of I-485 which are pending.

It does not show I485 which have been (1) approved (2) denied (3) I-485 not yet filed, (4) I-485 filed but not included in pending inventory, etc.

There is a blog post (link on right side) which explains the I-485 pending inventory document.

  15. So my PD is Feb7,2014 at F2A. Now, looking at the June visa bulletin I see that it has retrogressed, like a lot, what is the expected time my PD will become current? Even after if becomes current, it takes about another 6 months, right?
Im sorry if my questions are silly, I am very new at this.
    Please help!

  16. we know that every fb category visa number is limited for each fiscal year. that is from oct to sep of a year. if all visa number is allotted at any point of fiscal year pd will be retrogressed as the current visa pd cannot be allotted in that fiscal year due to numerical limitation. so dos have to retrogress the pd on such date up to which they can allot visa on that fiscal year till the sep 30th. so we assume that from successive fiscal year vb can progress the pd. but there is another issue that is if ones visa is available but they didnt submit in time but dos give them the grace period of one year up to which dos will wait for their submission before dos can say that those applicants are not eligible any more. this is another reason for which pd may not move at all or retrogress. Thats why we cannot predict accurately when vb will move forward or static or retrogress. if we could know that how many cases behind our pd exactly than we could near predict the movement of visa bulletin. unfortunately this is not the case.hope u got the answer from my view. best of luck.

  18. Does retrogression moves fast? Or if it retrogressed 1 year 5 months we have to wait that time? when the new fiscal year stars in oct 2014 the visa bulletin is going to come back to the date it was before retrogression?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It would depend on demand. If demand continues to be high (as in EB2 India), it may take some time to move dates forward. The latest data from USCIS/DOS would give more accurate estimate.

    1. Anonymous who answered No! I am sorry, but from my point of view you are rude and probably wrong! Based on demand data or inventory last March 2014, there are just less than 1,900 pending prior Jan 1, 2013. And every month, for EB3 Philippines is allocated 290plus or 303 visas. So figure out that probability from March 2014 until December.

  26. Hi Amazon! My PD is july 7, 2008 EB3 Phil. According to GC calculator I will be current on december 2014. I'm an ex abroad (nurse) from Saudi Arabia. My 2 year contract just ended, then I went back here in the Philippines to apply for a position in a government hospital in Saudi Arabia and I'm blesssed I was hired with 1 year contract because I thought VB movement would be very slow. Please can you give ma a piece of advise should I go back to Saudi? What if my PD will become current before the end of my contract? or better stay here in Philippines and wait till I'll be current. Any possibility of retrogression before my I will be current? I would appreciate any advice you could give. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If I may answer your question, based on the pending demand or inventory, your PD would not even reached on Dec 2014. It could be before December. And i believed EB3 Phil will not retrogress. Your 1 yr contract in Saudi might might conflict in effectively complying your Green Card application. It is your decision to make.

    2. HI IIdie Ybanez! thank you so much for the advice greatly appreciated. from the time the PD will become current, NVC processing will take 2 to 3 months am I right?

    3. Sometimes it will take 4 months. Just make sure all requirements are complied for it will take another 10 days to 2 weeks for the visa office to hold your documents again before its been acted after submission of requirements.

    5. I think you should contact your petitioner, they might have hired an immigration lawyer that handled your papers. Better still contact NVC and provide them your case number or reference of your application. The next process will be an interview in consular office where you are located.

    8. Your DS 261 will determine the date of your appointment and interview. Be sure that you have all the complete documents needed for an interview. The completeness of your documents and employment availability will determine approval of your GC, I am speaking for EB category. And children are included for Medical. US embassy have only authorized doctors who can accomplish medical certificates. St. Luke Hospital in Manila has.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Please see the form I-485 Adjustment of Status. The list of requirements are there and it includes the Medical Forms. Just check the new forms and the duration of its effectivity. The medical cert usually is effective 1 year. From the date of doctors appointment and to complete the medical procedures usually takes 1 month to 45 days. Better do it in advance. I hope i shared it sufficiently.

    2. Ty, for the reply, so meaning to say if i had the medical exam now and file my adjustment of status next month (june) the uscis will accept it..???

    1. For immigration purposes, when you filed your I-485, provided your PD is current by that time, your age STOPED with the filing. Even if you will be 21 by July and your Green Card is not released yet, you are still considered not 21 and will not aged out. I hope this helps.
