If you have not done it, please remember to add your I-130/NVC/I-140/I-485 case to the GC tracker: http://www.mygcvisa.com/ tracker/
It would be very useful to understand how USCIS is currently processing cases. It would also help in estimating date movements in future VB.
We will update this table as we get more data. If you are interested, the dates above are based on following data:
- November 2013 Demand Data and estimated February 2014 Demand Data
- December 2013 Visa Bulletin and January 2014 Visa Bulletin and February 2014 Visa Bulletin
- Latest I-130/I-140/I-485 Processing Statistics (see link on right side) -->
Similar to EB3 category movement, we have added a blog post for EB2 category forward movement between August and December 2013. Please click here for FB category.
Next Steps: If priority date is current and
1. If applicant is inside US, they will have to file I-485: http://blog.mygcvisa.com/2013/04/how-to-file-i-485-application.html
2. If applicant is outside US, it will be sent to NVC: http://blog.mygcvisa.com/2013/09/nvc-consular-processing-steps.html

Thanks Amazon. I hope the dates won't retrogress or slow down too much.
ReplyDeleteI am assuming you are talking about EB3 ROW category - It is not likely. Though the data available is more than 90 days old. It would be helpful if USCIS/DOS decides to publish data every month.
Deletehi amazon, good day to you. based on February 14 visa bulletin PD for EB3 Philippines is Apr. 15, 2007, my PD is Nov. 28, 2008. do you have any idea if when my PD becomes current based on Feb. 2014 visa bulletin. thank you.
DeleteKabayan, we got same month and year of PD, there is a possibility that our category will be current this year, but still hard to predict when are we going to receive our GC. Remember, there are people who missed the boat during the July Visa fiasco and we dont know how many are those. let's just hope that this category will keep on moving forward.
DeleteHi amazon, i'm wandering on why the GC calculator was not updated although the February 2014 bulletin was already released? Thanks...
DeleteIt has already been updated. Let me know if you are still viewing old data.
DeleteReally curious why / how amazon you predict that EB3ROW / China / Mexico will move forward 0 to 2.5 months :)
ReplyDeleteI suggest you to read the part where the article says: "the dates above are based on following data" (and then there's a list with the sources).
DeleteI have definitely read that, and that's why I'm asking because there is no new I-485 demand data released yet. Since in February the date has only been moved forward for 2 months, which means that the demand may finally start to rise, I would like to know how it's possible that the maximum moving for March could be 2.5 months.
DeleteYeah, it is certainly possible. EB3 category has a supply of around 40,000 visas this year + around 3,000 spillovers from FB category.
DeleteTypically when dates move forward, applicants do not immediately submit their application. Hence there is still a possibility of date movement. There are few other factors based on other data to show potential forward movement. Hence the expected movement is in that range. Hope this was helpful.
Why no movement predicted in EB3-ROW?
ReplyDeleteIt's either going to stay as is or move up to 2.5 months.
DeleteIn F2A category, Does retrogression going to be in only
ReplyDeleteMexico or other countries as well in upcoming months? Please say something? I don't know number, demand etc. issue very well
HI Amazon. Thanks for the wonderful info. My I 130 filed on 9 Jan 2014 is in initial review at California Service Center. My husband is a greencard holder . How long is it going to take to be approved and what is the next step then??
ReplyDeleteIf you visit the GC tracker, you can checkout the average processing time for I-130.

ReplyDeleteIt is likely to be released around middle of February.

hi there my PD is Aug 06 2012 (ROW) on EB3 - can anyone tell me when i can be current ?
ReplyDeleteYou should be current in the next couple of bulletins. Worst case scenario is by end of summer '14.
Deletealso i think the GC calculator for PD is not accurate - can someone fix it ?
ReplyDeleteCan you give some more details on what is not accurate (PD, country, etc)
DeleteDo you think my pd oct 2007 eb3 phil will be current soon? Thank u
ReplyDeleteThere is a BIG MESS with the I-485....Expecting huge delays. USCIS recalculating processing times. Most people applying from sept-13 already reached the 4th month average time in "acceptance" status.
ReplyDeleteEB3 Row, forget progress.
The average processing time varies from service center to service center. An I-485 that is being processed by the Texas Service Center will take an average of 8 months.
DeleteThat said, I would not be surprised if processing times get a little worse in the near future as the number of people filing I-485s increases due to the huge forward movement in EB3 cutoff dates.
Amazon what can you predict for Eb3-philippines for the next 2 months visa bulletin?
ReplyDeleteYes Amazon, pls. Give us a little hint for the next 2 months for eb3phil.tnx

DeleteHi Amazon, I am from India and my husband is a LPR. I got a Case completion notice from NVC on Dec 30th 2013(for F2a category). Can you please tell me how long does it typically take to schedule interview in mumbai consulate? What if the dates retrogress before scheduling my interview? Do I still be eligible to get GC?

I have read that, and that's why I'm asking because there is no new I-485 demand data released yet. Infect in February the date has only been moved forward for almost 2 months, Its means that the demand may finally start to rise.
ReplyDeleteYeah, demand has increased a lot after dates moved forward by around 4 years in EB3 ROW, China and Mexico categories.
DeleteHello Amazon...With the latest demand data that came out and Eb1,5 filling up in addition to EB3to2 porting.. do you think EB2 India June 20th,2008 PD will get current this year? I missed applying the first time and have been praying for the second chance...Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis is so strange- why the USCIS isnt publishing the inventory data in Jan 2014. Jan is almost over.
ReplyDeleteThey may be super busy processing cases and battling snow storms :)
Deletehi our pd is 6 feb 2002 and category is f4 we are from pakistan do you have any clue that when will our pd become current
ReplyDeleteJust received IL F1-INDIA, PD: 29 JAN 2007.

I am a Nigerian, my mother filed a petition for me in Feb 2006 on category F2B, and then she was Legal Permanent Resident
ReplyDeleteIn July 2009, I got a letter from NVC telling me my petition has been approved.
In Nov 2010, my mom became a US citizen and I got married in Feb 2011.
In June 2011 I got a choice of address and agent form, Affidavit of support (AOS) processing fee bill Invoice from NVC
My mom notified NVC about my marriage, they requested for my wife's Birth certificate and our marriage Certificate, this was sent in August 2011. In slept 2011 they replied telling me, my request had been received the priority date was still Feb. 2006 but preference category changed from F2B to F3
I went online to check my status, it was post decision activity, and this was the same status it was before I included my wife in my petition. It was exactly 8yreas yesterday the application was submitted
My question is this; how long do we need to wait to get our visa number and when will our petition be current?
Responses will be appreciated
March bulletin os out...
