USCIS Visa Bulletin Predictions From April 2014 To June 2014

USCIS/DOS has released their prediction for April 2014 to June 2014 Visa Bulletin. Please see the details below for both employment based and family based categories.

FAMILY-sponsored categories (potential monthly movement):

Worldwide dates:
  • F1:  Two to four weeks
  • F2A:  No forward movement is expected
  • F2B:  Four to seven weeks
  • F3:  Four to six weeks
  • F4:  Two or three weeks

EMPLOYMENT-based categories (potential monthly movement):

Employment First:  Current

Employment Second:
  • Worldwide:  Current
  • China:  Three to five weeks
  • India:  No forward movement

Employment Third:
  • Worldwide:  This cut-off date has been advanced over four and one half years since last spring in an effort to generate new demand. After such a rapid advance of a cut-off date applicant demand for number use, particularly for adjustment of status cases, can be expected to increase significantly. Once such demand begins to materialize at a greater rate it could have a significant impact on this cut-off date situation. Little, if any forward movement of this cut-off date is likely during the next few months.
  • China:  Will remain at the worldwide date
  • India:  Little if any movement
  • Mexico:  Will remain at the worldwide date
  • Philippines:  Three to six weeks

Employment Fourth:  Current

Employment Fifth:  Current

The above projections for the Family and Employment categories are for what is likely to happen during each of the next several months based on current applicant demand patterns.

Readers should never assume that recent trends in cut-off date movements are guaranteed for the future, or that "corrective" action will not be required at some point in an effort to maintain number use within the applicable annual limits.

The determination of the actual monthly cut-off dates is subject to fluctuations in applicant demand and a number of other variables. Unless indicated, those categories with a "Current" projection will remain so for the foreseeable future.

    1. WE will have to wait for the next I-485 pending inventory. It seems like demand has increased after the 2 month jump in last VB.

    1. It will never. Damn country with a damn immigration process. We are like the people who are shipwrecked in the middle of a huge ocean. Neither we can go home nor we can reach the destination. Just stuck up and hoping that someone will come and rescue us. But no one ever will.

  6. His predictions I think based on the 3 months cycle for visas allocations
Oct-Dec, Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun,,,,, I know it's so frustrating and it's breaking the families and this country they gave millions of visitors visas and for families they put a quota non sense logic.

  7. And they are saying it's going to retrogress in July that means F2A families are screwed up because of the non sense laws

    Replies
    1. Yeah, per the latest news directly from USCIS, they are expecting retrogression around July.

    1. I am not expecting EB3 ROW to retrogress in May. Most likely it would remain at the same date.

  12. Mine is Follow to join category which came as E2 category. My processing is completed but getting visa is pending because of priority date. Atleast the USCIS can give temp visas for families if not for Employees. This is the most frustrating that H1,L1-dependents can go stay with family happily and GC dependents are not. The rules should be reformed.

    1. F2a is for children below 21 years old
In your case you will fall under f2b category and that is children over 21 years old. Under f2b an average of 10-11 years of waiting upon issuance of your PD ( priority date )

  23. HI Amazon,

I just want your opinion on my dilemma. I just got here in the US last March 30 under a K1 petition. I did not expect for my EB3 petition to become current this soon. I would like to ask if I can still take that job under the previously filed petition or it is already gone now that I am here on a different visa. Thanks
